Free Eyeglasses and Exam

Procedure to Obtain Free Eyeglasses

Step 1: Apply for free exam through VisionUSA. Application is available online or via telephone @ (800)766-4466.

Step 2: Once approved for free eye exam participant will have eye exam performed to receive eyeglasses prescription.

Step 3: Participant must bring eyeglasses prescription to career specialist.

Step 4: Career Specialist will apply for New Eyes for the Needy Eyeglass Voucher. A copy of the eyeglasses prescription must be included with the application. Please make sure participant’s monthly income is not above the monthly income criteria.

Step 5: Once application is approved by New Eyes for the Needy, the organization will mail Easter Seals Oregon the eyeglass voucher for the participant. A New Eyes voucher typically covers only the cost of a basic pair of single or bifocal eyeglasses.
